Approved Provider Framework

Aim
To ensure an approved provider system is developed, enabling parents/carers to have confidence in independent organisations, by meeting agreed quality standards in the short breaks provided on behalf of NCC.
Objective
1. Establish an approved provider system where a wide range of organisations have equitable access to approval.
2. The approved provider system will be transparent and understandable for parents/carers and they will have confidence in the system.
3. The approved provider system will cover the whole of Nottinghamshire County Council area.
4. The approved provider system will be agreed by the Project Reference Group in December 2008

Allocated through the pathfinder budget 2008/09 - £20k
Membership of Group
At least two parent representatives who live in different areas whose children are accessing or seeking to access different short break services; health, social care commissioners.
