Aim
To ensure that children who present challenging behaviours due to their disability have access to the same short break services as other disabled children in Nottinghamshire.
Objective
1. To ensure the development of the pilot Intervention Service that supports access to a wide range of short break services for children with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours and to facilitate learning from that.
2. Identify learning from the pilot Intervention Service and make recommendations to the Project Reference Group by April 2009.

Allocated through the pathfinder budget 2008/09 - £70k
Membership of Group
At least two parent representatives that live in different areas whose children are accessing or are seeking services; staff representation from health, social care and the independent sector, who work with children and young people who present challenging behaviours.
