Holiday Activities, Play and Youth Activities
Lead: Chris O’Brien
Aim
To ensure the continued development of a co-ordinated and wide range of play and youth activities, with a significant increase in the school holidays, is available to all disabled children across Nottinghamshire.
Objective
1. Gain the views of children, young people and their families as to what services and activities are valued.
2. Make recommendations to the Project Reference Group learning from the views above and current practice across the county.
Resources
Allocated through the pathfinder budget 2008/09 - £1061k.
Membership of Group
At least 2 parent representatives that live in different areas whose children are accessing or seeking services. Wide representation will be sought from play services, youth services, and from the independent sector for specific areas of this work; representation may be also sought from health, social care and education.
